I have had the travel bug ever since we got back from Japan. I want to see new things and experience new cultures. The only thing about traveling is the airfare! Depending on what season it is, prices go way up making it hard for lower to middle class people like me to travel. I recently found two websites which I love that have great travel deals. However it does work better if you are flexible with when you can travel. The first website I'll talk about is skyscanner.com. It's very self explanatory. You put which airport you will be departing from and where you want to go. Then you select your dates, or you can even select "whole month" to see which months are the cheapest. If you don't have a preference of where to go and just want to see where it is cheap to fly to, just type in "Everywhere" to see the flight deals. The next website that is similar to skyscanner is kiwi.com. Again, very self explanatory about how to use it. Select your airport you will be flying out from and select an airport or country you want to go to. You get the best deals when you are flexible with when you can travel, so in the "departure" date and "return" date, I suggest choosing the "anytime" option. When you select the "anytime option, there will be lots of different airports within that area, so just choose the airport you want to fly into. In this example, I chose Italy. After you click on an airport, here will be dates with when it will be the cheapest, and shows how many nights you will be spending in that area. I clicked on "Rome" and here are some of the deals it gave me! Isn't it amazing how cheap the flights are from Maui to Rome!? You can click on one of the options depending on how long you want to stay. I chose the 9 nights in Rome option. As you you can see, it gives the day you will leave, stay, and come back. Don't these websites make you want to travel!? Like I said, it's a lot better if you are flexible with your schedule because you will for sure get the best deals. I'm very tempted to purchase this ticket to Rome, but I have no travel buddy. Will anyone join me?

Japan was amazing as always!! Even though it rained every day, it was still so much fun and knowing we were in Japan made me so happy! Each day will have a link to a short vlog, or the post may be a vlog. Day 1: Takeoff! We left for Japan on JL 783. Japan Airlines is probably the best airline I've ever been on. Their service is so on point. Once we passed the international date line, it was my boyfriends birthday! Day 2: Tokyo DisneylandTokyo Disneyland was so amazing! The best part about the park was the Halloween decorations. The last time I've been to Disneyland was when I was 8 years old (although I went to Tokyo DisneySea last year). It was SO MUCH FUN to be with my boyfriend and one of my best friends!! Day 3: Harajuku & ShibuyaHarajuku and Shibuya are a must when visiting Japan. Since it rained there wasn't a lot of people at Harajuku, which is a good thing because there's usually a swarm of people that makes it impossible to get through! We got a huge cotton candy just for instagram, looked at different shops, bought a few things at Shibuya, and walked the crossing few times for a good picture. Day 4: Lounging in KawasakiWe all decided it was time for a break LOL. Our feet were sore from all the walking and we were sick of the rain. We decided to stay in Kawasaki for the day and explore what was nearby. We had lunch with my aunties and an amazing sushi restaurant, kind of like genki's except way better. Most of the sushi was only $1! It was so funny because we ordered some sushi through the tablet and when the sushi was almost ready, it would give us a little announcement. I was expecting someone to come and deliver the sushi to us like genki sushi, but the sushi actually comes to you on the conveyor belt! So basically they time about how many minutes/seconds it takes to get from the kitchen to your table, then it gives you an announcement when the sushi is almost at your table! How cool is that!? At night, we went to this little restaurant for a drink. I participated in a rock paper scissors game and I WON!! According to the lady sitting next to us, I won a free dinner or something. It was super weird because we ended up paying anyway. It was a fun game, but I don't think I'd ever eat there again. Day 5: Akihabara & GinzaAkihabara is meant for people who love electronics, want to build their own electronics, or people who really love manga. I never did care for Akihabara, but it's cool to see the anime culture and any city with buildings and lights are a must for me! After Akihabara, we met up with my aunties and went to Ginza to eat a light dinner at a restaurant with a view. We ate different types of meat with veggies and sides. After eating at that restaurant, we went to Hooters to support my cousin since she works there. We got to see her dance and serve us. It was hilarious. Day 6: Asakusa & Tokyo SkytreeRAIN AND CLOUDS! Since it was raining, the full red thing in Asakusa wasn't fully down. I felt so bad for my friend Rachel because it was her first time in Japan but it rained every day! Not to mention it was her first time seeing Asakusa temple and Tokyo Skytree but you couldn't see the view. We got omamori (good luck charms) and a few souvenir trinkets. We even prayed at the temple and got a fortune. Of course, second year in a row, I get a bad fortune. We rode a rickshaw and the guy that sold us was so funny we had to get a picture with him afterward! Day 7: Kamakura & "Christmas Island"FINALLY NO RAIN! It was a beautiful day to go to Kamakura and see the Buddah and a nearby temple. We also walked about 40 minutes to another temple with torii gates which was beautiful. After spending a few hours there, we made our way to "Christmas Island". My boyfriend and I went to Christmas Island last year and it was so AMAZING. Though, we never did take the train there. We ended up taking the wrong train, and at one of the stops, a boy came and sat next to me. You could tell he was a little "slow". He talked about Pokemon and Yugioh. I could understand some things he said, like when he asked where we were going and that the train we were on doesn't go to the station. I didn't really listen to him, so when he got off the train, he told us to come. We eventually got off and he went to the info counter to ask what train goes to our destination. He was so so sooo nice and I wish I got a picture with him. He even took another train back to where he was going. He made sure we got on the train, and we waved goodbye while on the train. When we got to the station, we were confused to where to take the bus. This old Japanese man came up to us and asked if we needed help...IN ENGLISH. He pointed the way to go and to turn left. At this park, there's Christmas lights everywhere and lots of rides. I think it's better than Disneyland! Day 8: Homeward BoundI hate hate hate hate leaving Japan. Pictured above is my aunty Chieko, my grandma's youngest sister with their dog Pika. Today we stayed around Kawasaki again and did last minute shopping at the dollar store called Daiso. At around 4:30, my two other aunties came and walked us to the train station to give our final goodbye's. We headed to Narita and bought more food souvenirs for family and friends. I personally didn't like Narita because all the shops and restaurants closed really early. The only reason we flew to and from Narita is because the flights to Haneda were all sold out. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR!
